Emergence: Episode 2-”Left in Solitude”

By Brett on 11-27-10 - Emergence,Featured

Thanksgiving week. There is a lot of food, friends, family, shopping and…zombies!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with the family and we’re glad to know you’re back to watch the second episode in our series.

This episode switches gears a little bit and puts more emphasis on the main character in his realization of what really is going on and what he is going to do about the problems at hand. We’re very happy with this one and hope you guys enjoy it too.

If you like the episode please let us know in the comments and be sure and tell all your friends about the series! Stay tuned as we’ll have a special video straight from myself and the director as we give a brief intro about the series.

Disappointed to say the least. I was hoping that it would redeem itself and become more engaging but it hasn’t. The girl at the window should scream when she sees the crazy bloody person. I’m a guy and I would scream. Her acting is flat. I don’t expect Oscar winners but aren’t you in Dallas? There has to be a lot of talent there. My main issue at this point is that this is a series that you want people to return every week to watch and there isn’t enough action. I am not invested in what is going on and it jumps around too much. To remember what happened last week then to go backwards is a bit of a stretch when you are dealing with 8-12 minutes. I am watching one more episode with fingers crossed. It needs to pick up.

Thank you for the constructive criticism. I read both of your comments on both of the episodes and we really appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback.

I don’t disagree with any of your comments. Keep in mind however this is our first project we’ve ever done. Naturally it will have a lot of flaws, we took a different approach than most by starting out with something really ambitious so that future projects would be much easier and it has worked out for us. I don’t know if you’ve seen our two latest shorts, bound by revenge and face off, but you’ll already notice a huge improvement in both the story and the production value.

We hope you can keep on watching because each episode gets a bit better. The second half is especially worth watching as we had several months to learn from our mistakes (the first half was shot 2 summers ago and the second half was shot last summer).

Thanks again for the comments. We really appreciate it!

I enjoyed the first two episodes very much. I know that these productions are short of perfection, but i figure its all about enjoying your work. And i can tell this was a fun project to produce. I hope to see this series develop further. So good job and keep doing your thing.

PS: I especially enjoyed the opening scene for Episode 2. It wasn’t too hard to figure out what was going to happen but i didn’t mind. Sometimes we just need a simple zombie shocker. So keep up good work.
