Zombie Question of the Week #2!

By Brett on 08-07-10 - Emergence,ZQOTW

And we’re back! This time with a new question, a new week and unfortunately no contest. Actually, your response would essentially be rewarded with our appreciation…which is a pretty good deal right?

Last week our question had to do with the best cities to be in if a zombie apocalypse occurred. We received some pretty good responses but ultimately our favorite one was from Paul Murphy:

Ideally, one would get as far away from a heavily populated area. If you were forced to seek refuge in a city, I world choose Norfolk, Virginia. It is home to the worlds largest naval station. the ships would provide an excellent defense against the undead, and you would have a floating fortress stocked with weapons and food that would crew of over 100 men more than a month. A few people could survive for a near indefinite period of time. There is also a lot military personnel whose training would be invaluable, so long as they remain alive.

It would be a pretty intense fight but I could see someone surviving awhile at a naval station. Assuming the military people in the area survived, or at least some, they would probably know how to use a gun or two so this seemed pretty reasonable.

This week’s question is going to be be along the same lines as last week’s question but this time we’re going to ask about where you’re from. So here it is…ZQOTW #2!

What would be your plan of action in the event that zombies were coming to your city?

Note: You must stay in your city for reasons unknown so you should explain what parts of your city would help and where would be a good place to go. Be sure and include the name of your city in your response.

Leave us a comment below with your answer! Our favorite one will be shown next week!

I would make a stop at a gunstore and equip myself with as much as possible. After whick i would hole up in a Costco. THis is becaues the have BULK food and there are large metal garage doors to hold the zombies out. if that failed they have a crap load of stuff to barricade with

I would go to a high school. Schools today are designed to be able to be locked down quickly. Also in most city schools are multiple story, brick-and-mortar buldings with solid doors and heavy locks designed to keep a threat outside. And if one was lucky, there are solid-core fire doors blocking off each stairwell with a half-inch solid steel double bar deadbolt. Oh, and the doors can only be opened from inside the building, away from the stairwell. And there’s plenty of frozen food to keep you fed.

I would go to the Parks Mall here in Arlington, TX and gather a group of my friends to come with me. We would seal off all entrances to the Mall and hide out with enough food and water AND GUNS w/ammo to last us months. Then we would plan our escape to our next hide out until all the zombie died or decayed.
